Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1 package (16 oz.) rotini noodles
- 3 tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 pound zucchini, thinly sliced (1 1/2 cups)
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dill
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1 can tuna
- 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp. parmesan
- 2 tbsp. melted margarine
Preparation
Step 1
Cook rotini; drain.
Melt margarine in saucepan. Saute zucchini, celery and onion, stirring, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add flour, salt and dill. Stir until smooth. Add milk, a small amount at a time, stirring after each addition. Return to heat. Bring to slow boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Add grated parmesan; mix well.
In casserole dish, combine pasta with sauce and tuna. Toss gently.
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, crumbs and parmesan cheese. Mix and sprinkle over casserole.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes.
