green apple slaw

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • dash of cayenne
  • 6 cups coleslaw mix(1 pound bag)
  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into matchsticks
  • 1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
  • 1 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

in a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and cayenne. stirin the coleslaw mix, apples, pecans, and raisins. taste for seasoning and adjust more salt and pepper if desired.

refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours before serving.

serves 8-10.
