Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. lean steak, thinly sliced and shredded
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, cut in fine shreds
- 1 medium green pepper, cut in fine shreds
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups hot steamed rice
- 4 ounces almonds, toasted
Preparation
Step 1
Combine steak, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Heat oil in a wok and add steak mixture. Stir-fry 2 minutes. Add onion, green pepper and salt. Stir-fry 1 minute. Add rice and almonds, stir-frying to blend ingredients. This can be done off the heat.
Place mixture into an oiled ring mold. Press down firmly. Turn out onto round serving platter, garnish and serve.
