Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef simmering steak
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 large onion

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. Sprinkle beef steak with mixture, pound in on both sides.
Cut beef into serving pieces, brown in skillet.
Add onions and canned tomatoes, reduce heat.
Cover and simmer until beef is tender, about 45 minutes.
