Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Shortening
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 Tbs. Tapioca
  • 1 Tbs. Lemon Juice
  • 1/3 Cup Milk
  • 2 Cups Fresh Peaches

Step 1

Beat shortening, sugar and egg. Then add salt, baking powder, flour and milk. Pour peaches, lemon juice, and tapioca in baking dish; dot with butter. Drop batter in mounds on top of peaches. Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 30-40 minutes.
