Cherry Cheesecake Dessert

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 3/4 cup golden flavored Crisco
  • 1/3 cup icing sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • Filling:
  • 1 block (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can eagle brand milk
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 19 oz. can of cherry pie filling
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup golden flavored Crisco
  • 3/4 cup sliced almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together crust ingredients. Pat into bottom of 13" x 9" greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and lower temperature to 325 degrees.

Beat cream cheese. Gradually add in milk and lemon juice til mixed with cream cheese. Pour over baked crust. Carefully spoon cherry pie filling evenly over cream cheese mixture.

Combine first 3 topping ingredients into coarse crumbs. Add nuts. Sprinkle over pie filling with fingers.

Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
