Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • Potatoes:
  • 1 lb white whole mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3 lbs sauerkraut
  • 3 lbs kielbasa
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • pepsi ( non diet) at least a liter
  • noodles or potatoes
  • Noodles: 1 Lb egg noodles
  • 3 lbs potatoes gold yukon
  • wondra flour 1/4 cup
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • parsley

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven to 350

Cut mushrooms in chunks

chop onion

wash sauerkraut and drain

Cut kielbasa in around 2 " chunks

Saute mushrooms, & onion & sauerkraut

Add garlic powder and paprika to color

Saute for 15 minutes

In the meantime place Kielbasa in a large skillet or pot and cover with Pepsi--bring to boil and reduce pepsi by half

After reducing and sauting the mixture, ---Layer mixture then kielbasa and a top layer of mixture in buttered cassarole dish

pour remander of pepsi in cassarole dish

place in 350 oven and bake for 1 to 1-1/2 hours

Cover last 30 minutes with foil to prevent burning

Serve with Buttered noodles or potatoes

If potatoes, cut potatoes in long wedges about 1/8 " thick

Mix 1/4 cup wondra flour and 1/4 cup parmesan chesse and parsley in plastic bag

Shake potatoes in the bag

place on cookie sheet until tender and bake at 375 until tender
