Cherry Cheese Cake

This dessert is simple to make but looks so beautiful on the buffet. I appreciate easy recipes like this that have impressive results. Since it makes two pans, everyone can save room for a creamy, fruity piece or two.

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1 package (18.25 oz) white cake mix.
  • Filling:
  • 2 – 8 oz packages cream cheese
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 pint whipping cream, whipped
  • 2 cans (21oz) cherry pie filling

Preparation

Step 1

Crust:

1. Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
2. Pour into 2 greased 9x13 pans.
3. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or till tests clean.
4. Cool.

Filling:

1. In large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and
sugar till fluffy; fold in the whipped cream.
2. Spread over each cake.
3. Top with pie filling.
4. Chill 4 hours or overnight.
