Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas(3 medium)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
- 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons ready to spread frosting
- 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
Preparation
Step 1
heat oven to 350. grease bottom only of loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 with shortening.
beat 1/2 cup shortening and the sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium until fluffy. beat in eggs and bananas until smooth. beat in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt just until mixed. stir in peanuts and chocolate chips. pour into pan
bake 1 hour 10 minutes.
cool completely, about 1 hour
place frosting in small plastic food-storage bag. microwave on high 6-10 seconds until pourable. add peanut butter to bag, gently squeeze until peanut butter and frosting are well-blended. cut off corner of bag. squeeze bag to drizzle chocolate mixture over top.q
