bread-fruit cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup whipped butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 (17oz) fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. blend in milk. add fruit cocktail and nuts, mix well. add combined dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened. pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

bake at 350 degrees 50-55 minutes
