Spaghetti Sauce

I love this recipe. Amy doesn't like it when I mess up and mix this recipe with the salsa recipe-oops!

Ingredients

  • 20 cups chopped ripe tomatoes
  • 3 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 4 (12 oz) cans tomato paste
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook for 2 hours
2. Add 1 teaspoon vinegar to jar before filling with
sauce.
3. Process 15 minutes in hot water bath.

*Freeze extra tomatoes from the garden. When ready
to use for canning, put in a sinkful of warm water and
the skins will slip off easily. I make do canning during
the winter to warm up the house
