Ingredients

  • 1 cup long cooking rice
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. chicken cut-up
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbs. butter
  • 1 tsp. worchestershire sauce
  • 1 med. onion
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. curry powder

Preparation

Step 1

Combine rice and raisins in shallow 2 quart baking dish. Melt margarine in skillet. Stir in curry. Add chicken and brown. Place on rice. Add onions to drippings and cook until tender. Stir in water, tomato sauce and worchestershire. Bring to boil. Pour over chicken. Stir. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 min.
