Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 C. All-Purpose Flour
- 4 C. Whole Milk
- 1/2 tsp. Kosher Salt
- 1/4 tsp. White Pepper
- 1/8 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in a saucepan over med-heat. Whisk in flour & cook 1-2 min. Gradually whisk in the milk, bring to a boil & cook till thickened & no longer starchy, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Off heat, add salt, pepper & nutmeg. Serve.
