San Remo Seafood Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz) can tiny shrimp drain and reserve liquid
  • 1 (6oz) can crab meat reserve liquids
  • 2 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • 1/8 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • 1/3 cup asiago cheese
  • 2 Tbs grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups barilla marinara sauce
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • Store bought Breadsticks

Preparation

Step 1

1. On medium low heat olive oil and flour in a 2 qt. saucepan.

2. Add liquids from canned seafoods.

3. Add cubed cream cheese, salt, garlic and horseradish. Stir until smooth

4. Add asiago and 2 tbls. parmessan cheese. Stir until smooth.

5. Add seafood, blend well. Simmer until heated.

6. Add half and half a little at a time to seafood sauce. It will resemble a pudding.

7. Simmer 12-15 minutes. Stir frequently, don't scorch.

8. In a shallow baking dish, spray with a non-stick spray, Line the bottom of the dish with the marinara.

9. Place the seafood mixture on top of the marinara layer.

10. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.

11. Bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes. Do not brown, Let cool for a few minutes

12. BREADSTICKS Folow the instructions on the package for baking time and temp, Before you put them in the oven brush with olive oil and sprinkle with parm cheese. Wrap in foil. When finished baking cut them on a diagonal into dipping pieces.
