Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening (or half butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars and egg thoroughly.
2. Measure flour by dipping method or sifting.
3. Blend all dry ingredients, stir into shortening mixture.
4. Chill dough.
5. Heat oven to 375*.
6. Roll dough in 1 1/4" balls.
7. Place 3" apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
8. Flatten crisscross with fork dippin flour.
9. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.........If you use Self Rising Flour, omit baking powder, soda and salt...
