Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb flank steak
  • MARINADE
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tblspn dry sherry
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp corn starch
  • Vegetable Oil
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 20 dried chilies, left whole for mild, break 15 for hot
  • Orange peel from one orange
  • Seasoning Liquid
  • 1 tblsp soy sauce
  • 1 tblsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tblsp dry sherry
  • 2 tblsp Hoisin
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp chili oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tbspn sesame oil
  • 1 tbspn hoisin sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Combine beef and marinade for 2 or 24 hrs

Heat wok add 2 tblsp oil, add beef, stir fry until medium rare, remove.

Return wok to high, add garlic. Chilies, oranage peel. Toss 30 seconds or until blackened. Return beef to wok, toss for 20 seconds,restir seasoning liquid, pour over beef. Toss for 30 seconds. Drizzle in sesame oil and hoisin.
