Hamburgers - Blue-cheese Buffalo Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
  • 1 lb. hickory-smoked bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 (4 oz) containers crumbled blue cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of Wordestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 recipe Buffalo Mayonnaise (recipe follows)
  • 8 onion rolls, split and toasted
  • 12 recipe Grilled Onions (recipe follows)

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, bacon, blue cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper and salt. Shape mixture into 8 patties.

Spray grill with nonstick, nonflammable cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium-high heat 400-450 degrees).

Grill hamburgers, covered with grill lid, until desired degree of donenes is reached, approximately 6-6 minutes per side.

Spread Buffalo Mayonnaise on bottom half of each onion roll; top with one burger. Top burgers with Grilled Onions. Spread Buffalo Mayonnaise on top half of each onion roll. Top each burger with onion roll tops. Serve immediately.
