Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef stew meat
- oil
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1-8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. cold water
- 2 tsp. cornstarch

Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat, half at a time, in oil. Add meat, carrot, onion, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, brown sugar, vinegar, worchestershire, and salt. Cover and cook over low heat about 1.5 hours. Blend 1 tbsp. cold water with cornstarch and add to stew. Stir to thicken. Serve over noodles.
