CREAMY MAC & CHEESE

This can be made in the stovetop & oven or in a crock pot.

Ingredients

  • 2 C Elbow Macaroni, uncooked
  • 4 T Butter or Margarine
  • 2 1/2 C Shredded Cheese (I use a blend of cheeses. Any cheese you like will work)
  • 3 Eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 C Sour Cream
  • 1 can Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1/2 t Salt
  • 1 C Whole Milk
  • 1/2 t Dry Mustard
  • 1/2 t Black Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Stovetop/Oven Directions:

Cook macaroni according to box instructions in a large pot or dutch oven, drain, and put back in pot. Mix butter, cheese, and soup until cheese melts. Stir in salt, pepper, dry mustard, milk, sour cream, and eggs. Put mixture in a large oven safe bowl or casserole. Cook at 375º for about an hour or until top is golden brown. Take out of oven and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Serve & ENJOY!

Crockpot/Slow Cooker Directions:

Cook macaroni & drain and set aside. In a medium saucepan, mix butter & cheese. Stir until the cheese melts. In the crockpot/slow cooker, combine cheese/butter mixture, eggs, sour cream, soup, milk, dry mustard, and salt & pepper. Stir well. Add cooked macaroni, stir. Cook on low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve & ENJOY!
