- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 tsp butter or margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda

Step 1
Combine sugar and corn syrup in 1 1/2 quart microwave bowl, stirring well.
Microwave 4 minutes, stir in nuts. Microwave at HIGH 5 to 7 minutes (Michelle's oven: 4 minutes 30 seconds) or until lightly browned. Stir in butter and vanilla. Microwave 1 minute. Stir in soda until foamy.
Pour mixture onto a lightly buttered baking sheet. Spread with 2 buttered forks quickly to thin out. Cool on a wire rack. Break into pieces and store in an air tight container.
