Ingredients

  • 1

    stick butter

  • 1-2

    Tbsp.flour

  • milk/cream

  • meat leftovers from pan

Directions

Over low heat stir together equal parts melted butter and flour until bubbling and raw flour taste is cooked away. Let cool. When ready to make gravy, add hot stock and defatted drippings to the rue (1 c. liquid per 1 Tbsp. flour). Cook until bubbling and thickened. Season gravy and serve.
