- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 T. buttermilk
- 5 c. flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1 t. vanilla

Step 1
Cream butter, gradually add sugar beating well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add buttermilk and beat well. combine flour and soda, gradually stir into creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla. chill dough several hours.
Preheat oven to 400. Roll dough to 1/4 in. thickness and cut into desired shapes. Bake 7 -8 min. until lightly browned.
