Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 3/4 cup of chopped pecans

Step 1


Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Cut butter into the brown sugar, flour and chopped pecans with fork or pastry cutter until well blended. Spread into 9x13 pan (Gayle does not use pyrex).

Bake for approximately 15 minutes on 400 degrees. Take out of pan and put into bowl to break it up. Cool.

Cover and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

Gayle’s dessert:
Put some of the crunch into a parfait dish. Add vanilla ice cream, then fruit such as strawberries, blueberries, kiwi and then add more of the crunch on top. Can top with chocolate syrup if desired.
