Ingredients

  • Use 2 1/2 lbs. of ground chuck. Mix ground chuck with crushed wheat saltines (1/2 cup of 1 individual package.)

  • Add 1 chopped onion and 1 green pepper. Add 1/2 cup mustard, 1 cup ketchup, little Heinz 57. Mix well and add little milk to moisten.

Directions

Use 2 ½ lbs. of ground chuck. Mix ground chuck with crushed wheat saltines (1/2 cup of 1 individual package.) Add 1 chopped onion and 1 green pepper. Add ½ cup mustard, 1 cup ketchup, little Heinz 57. Mix well and add little milk to moisten. Put into 9x9 baking dish. Make trench around outside edges. Bake on 400 degrees for 15 min. Then turn down to 350 for 1 hour and 15 min. After cooking one hour, pour off grease. Continue baking for last cooking time. Remove and top with ketchup and broil for approximately 5 minutes to brown.
