Ingredients
- 1 cup of White Karo Syrup
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 cups of granulated sugar
- dash of salt
- 3 egg whites

Step 1
1 cup White Karo Syrup, ¾ cup water; 4 cups granulated sugar, dash of salt
Mix well and pour into 2 qt. Pyrex dish. Cook 19 minutes on high, stirring every 5 minutes.
Meanwhile beat 3 egg whites till stiff. Gradually beat syrup mixture into beaten egg whites very slowly. Add ½ teaspoons vanilla. Whip till stiff. Scrape sides of own with spatula. When mixture begins to stick to spatula, candy is ready.
Use cup with hot water in it (2 teaspoons). Dip spoon into hot water and then dip teaspoon of candy and place on waxed paper. When finished, garnish top of candy with pecans, cherries or whatever garnish you desire.
