Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Yeast (2-1/4 tsp. in a pkg.)
  • 1-1/2 c. warm Water
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 4 c. Flour
  • 1 Egg (beaten) (optional)
  • coarse Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt and sugar and blend in flour. Cut into small pieces. Roll into strips about 6" long. Twist into shape and place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Brush with egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.

Bake at 425° for 12-15 minutes.
