Ingredients
- Cornbread Stuffing:
- 4 cups crumbled cornbread (made from Jiffy box mix)
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- Chicken and Dressing:
- 1 chicken, stewed - meat removed and reserved
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 cup flour
- salt and pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk

Step 1
Prepare the Stuffing:
1. Make cornbread from 2-3 boxes Jiffy.
2. Melt butter and saute celery and onion until softened.
3. Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl.
4. Pour into 9x13 buttered baking dish.
5. Top with chicken meat.
Make the Dressing:
1. Melt butter in large saucepan.
2. Whisk in flour. Cook for a minute or two.
3. Add broth and milk and stir constantly until thickened.
4. Pour dressing over chicken and stuffing.
5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
