CREAMY CHICKEN BREASTS

This recipe makes a very nice entree for company, especially when served with some cranberry sauce on the side. The cheese melts during the baking process and becomes part of the sauce.

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, split & deboned
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 cups crushed Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Place chicken in a shallow baking pan and place a slice of cheese on each breast. Stir together soup and wine; pour over chicken. Toss stuffing with melted butter and sprinkle over all. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F. for 40-45 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
Note: Cooking sherry can be substituted for the white wine for a slightly different flavor that is also quite good.
