Ingredients
- Sauce Mix:
- 1 pound hamburger
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup stewed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoon chil powder
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
1. Brown meat in a large skilletA; drain
2. Add water, milk and rice
3. Add spices; bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 12
minutes until rice is tender, stirring occasionally
4. In the last few minutes of cooking, stir in cheese, co
ver until cheese melts
5. Turn off heat, uncover and let stand for 5 minutes
It will thicken as it stands
*For more heat, add cayenne pepper or crushed red
pepper flakes. Add up to 1 cup red beans
