Ingredients

  • Chicken - Use legs or preferable upper thighs, and if you want, add breasts.

  • Broth

  • Onions

  • Carrot

  • Green Onion

  • Potatoes

  • Parsley

  • Dumplings:

  • 1

    cup flour

  • 1

    heaping tsp baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 1/2

    cup milk (dough should be thick)

  • Make small tsp size dumplings.

Directions

Use legs or preferable upper thighs, and if you want, add breasts. Trim chicken and put in pot. Cover with water plus 1 inch more, Add and onion cut in half (which you will throw away later). And also 2 green onions, a heaping tbsp of chicken powder. Cook for one hour, test to see if done and remove skin if desired. When chicken is cooked (may require another 15 minutes) add the carrots. 15 minutes later add cut up potatoes (bite size). Bring all to a boil and add dumplings. Sometimes parsley goes in. Cook covered 20 minutes for dumplings (potatoes must be small enough to cook in the same time as the dumplings)..
