Peanut Blossoms

Ingredients

• 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
• 1/3 Cup Sugar
• 1 Egg
• 1 tsp. Vanilla
• 1 tsp. Baking Soda
• 1/2 Cup Shortening
• 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
• 2 Tbsp. Milk
• 1 1/2 Cups Unsifted Flour
• 1/2 tsp. Salt
• 54 Hershey Kisses
• Granulated Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Blend Peanut Butter and shortening in a bowl. Add 1/3 cup sugar and the brown sugar. Cream until light and fluffy. Add milk and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add the creamed mixture.

Blend well.

Shape into balls and roll in sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until browned. Immediately place Hershey Kiss in the center of the cookie. Let cool.
