Eggnog Cake

Contrary to the name, there is no eggnog in this cake. It's "the flavor of a holiday punch bowl" Pillsbury

Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • Vegetable spray for the pan
  • Flour to dust the pan
  • 1 (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix with pudding
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoon rum

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Lightly spray a 12-cup bundt pan and dust with flour.
Shake out excess flour.
3. In a large bowl, blend cake mix, cream, oil, rum,
eggs and nutmeg on low speed of an electric mixer. 4. Scrape the sides of the bowl. Beat 2 minutes at the
highest speed.
5.Pour into pan.
6. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until tests clean.

Glaze:
1. In small pan bring sugar, nutmeg, butter and water
to a boil and the sugar is melted.
2. Remove from heat; add rum.
3. Pour half the glaze around the edges of the hot cake.
4. Cool upright in pan 5 minutes; turn onto a serving
plate.
5. Pour rest of the glaze over the top of the cake.

Serve warm or cool
