Wassail, The Holiday Drink

Ingredients

• 1 gal apple cider
• 2 c brown sugar, packed
• 4 c Florida Natural Premium Brand OJ
• 1 tsp cloves
• 1 TBSP whole allspice
• 1 TBSP ground nutmeg
• 1 c dark raisins
• 24 cinnamon sticks

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pot, combine cider, sugar, and OJ

Tie cloves and allspice in cheese cloth; add to cider, along with nutmeg

Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes

Add raisins and cinnamon sticks

Simmer for 10 more minutes

Remove and discard bag

Serve hot
