Vegetables - Stuffed Mushrooms-microwaved (Paige Sutcliff)

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced green pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 3 oz package of cream cheese
  • 1 lb. of small fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup of soft bread crumbs (or crackers)
  • 1 tablespoon margarine

Preparation

Step 1

Combine bacon, onions and green pepper in 4 cup measure cup. Cover with a paper towel. Cook on high for 4 minutes, stirring once. Pour off fat. Mix in salt, Worcestershire and cream cheese. Wash and dry mushrooms. Remove stems. Chop stems and add to bacon mixture, with crumbs and margarine. Cook on high 1 more minute. Stuff mushrooms and cook on high 1 – 2 minutes.
