Peanut Butter Ribbons

Ingredients

  • 1 C sifted flour
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 3/4 C brown sugar
  • 1/2 C peanut butter
  • 1 C rolled oats
  • 1 pkg choc chips
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1/2 C shortening
  • 1/2 C water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350

Sift flour, salt and soda into large bowl. Blend shortening, sugar, peanut butter and water. Add to dry mixture. Beat mix until smooth and creamy. Blend in oats. Spread 1/2 of batter into greased 8 inch pan. Cover with melted choc chips and top with remainder of batter.

Bake for 30-35 mins. Cool slightly and cut into bars.
