Creamy Soup Base

Ingredients

  • 2 c non-fat dry milk powder
  • 2 c water
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/3 c corn starch
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Stir together milk and water until dissolved in medium saucepan cook onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in cornstarch, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, then cook and stir 2 mins more. Remove from heat . Cool and freeze.
