Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 c. + 2 T. of flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 egg separated
- 3/4 c. milk
- 6 c. sliced apples
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 t. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Cut shortening with 3 c. of flour and salt until crumbly.
Add mixture of egg yolk and 1/2 c. of milk and mix.
Roll into two 11 X 16 in. rectangles.
Arrange apple slices and sprinkle with sugar, 2 T. flour and cinnamon.
Dot with butter and top with remaining pastry.
Brush with egg white and bake at 375 for 45 min.
Drizzle mixture of powder sugar, vanilla and 1/4 c. milk over top.
