Turtle Cake

Ingredients

• 1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix
• 1 14-oz. bag caramels
• 1 cup evaporated milk
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• Cool Whip

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cake as directed on package. Pour 1/2 the batter in a greased pan, 13x9x2. Bake 10 to 15 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Melt butter, caramels, milk. Beat til smooth.

Pour over warm cake. sprinkle chips and nuts on top, then pour remaining cake mix over the chips and nuts. Bake for 20 minutes more.

Top with Cool Whip or frosting.
