    c. molasses

    c. shortening (melted)

    c. flour

    tsp. soda

  • 1/2

    tsp. baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp. ginger

  • 1 1/2

    tsp. cinnamon

  • 1/2

    tsp. nutmeg

  • 1

    c. boiling water

Directions

Add beaten eggs to the sugar, molasses and shortening, then add the dry ingredients which have been mixed and shifted together. Last, add the hot water. Bake at 300 degrees.
