Rice Krispie Bars

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz. about 40) regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 5 c. Rice Krispies cereal

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine in large pan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Cook 3 to 4 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cereal and stir until well coated. Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Cut into squares. Optional: add peanut butter, nuts, or chips.
