Sugar Cookies 1 Picture


  • 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1

oven to 375 Line baking sheets parchment paper or grease lightly.
In med bowl, mix flour, soda & cream of tartar.
In lg bowl, beat butter, oil & sugars until completely blended & mixture is creamy. Add eggs & vanilla & beat well. Stir in dry ingred til well blended.
Drop dough, use cookie scoop or tablespoonful on prepared baking sheet
Flatten each ball to 3/8" thickness using bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake 10-12 min or til cookies are lightly browned around edges. Do not overbake. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
