Ingredients
- 3 Tbs butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 9 canned pineapple slices
- 5 maraschino cherries
- 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup milk

Cooking time 40mins
Preparation
Step 1
melt butter in cake pan
sprinkle brown sugar
arrange pineapples and cherries
set pan aside
sift flour, baking powder, and salt 2 times
mix shortening 7 sugar til light and fluffy
add egg and beat
add vanilla
mix flour and milk
bake 40 min at 350degrees
