Ingredients

  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. pecans (chopped)
  • 4 T. cocoa

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Blend in nuts. Divide dough in half. Add cocoa to one half and spread white layer in bottom of pan. Then spread chocolate layer on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack.
