Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup self rising corn meal
  • 1 tablespoon self rising flour
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2/3 cup crisco oil
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 small can cream style corn
  • 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers (depends on how hot you like)(you may use canned jalapeno peppers.)
  • 1/2 cup green pepper chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 grated cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Mix corn meal, flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, oil and corn. Mix well add chopped peppers, onions and cheese.
Mix together.
Preheat 9x13 pan, grease well.
Bake @ 375 for 35 minutes or until brown. You may use canned jalapeno peppers.
