Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves or nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. instant coffee
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 5 cups flour

Step 1

Cream the honey, sugars, margarine, sour cream and eggs.

In a separate bowl, mix baking powder, baking soda, spices and flour.

Mix dry and wet ingredients. Dough should be soft but able to be rolled out. Cut into cookies.

Bake at 375-400 degrees Fahrenheit for 9-13 minutes, depending on how hot your stove is.

Honey cookies stay moist longer and improve with age.

Frost with 7 minute frosting.
