Easy Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks of real butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg. Chocolate chips
  • 1 jar 7 oz. Marshmallow cream
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1) Mix butter, sugar, and milk in heavy 3 quart saucepan. Bring to full boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or spatula (never scrapping the sides).

2) Continue boiling for five minutes over medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and pour into a large glass bowl. (never scrapping the sides)

3) Gradually stir in chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well.

4) Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Cool at room temperature and cut into squares. Makes 3 pounds.
