Ingredients

  • 1 cup- sugar
  • 1/8 tsp- cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cup- water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tsp- vanilla
  • 2/3 cup- butter

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan. Cook to 24 or until syrup forms soft ball in cold water. Beat egg whites until stuff by not dry. Add syrup slowly, beating constantly. Add vanilla. Cream butter. Add egg white mixture to butter 3 tbsp at a time, beating after each addition.
