Peanut Butter Balls

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 T. vegetable shortening
  • 1/2 inch wax
  • 1/2 c salted butter
  • 1 pound confectioners sugar
  • 1 pound semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. Mix the peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar into a smooth dough. Shape into small balls, using 2 t. of mixture per ball. Place on waxed paper sheet and chill in refrigerator.

Melt chocolate and shortening together in double boiler. When smooth, transfer to small bowl. Dip each ball into chocolate so 3/4 of ball are coated. Return to paper. Refrigerate.
