TOFFEE COOKIE SQUARES

Ingredients

• 1/2 C. BUTTER
• 1/2 C. SHORTENING
• 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
• 1 EGG
• 1 TSP. VANILLA
• 1/3 TSP. SALT
• 2 CUPS FLOUR
• 6 OZ. SEMI SWEET CHOC. MORSELS
• 1/2 C. CHOPPED NUTS

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, shortening, sugar and egg. Stir in vanilla, salt and flour. Put mixture into a 15x10 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Spread chocolate out when it melts. Sprinkle with nuts and cut into squares.
