  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • A little powdered sugar
  • Loaf of French Bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Beat until fluffy, the cream cheese and the first teaspoon of vanilla and a little powdered sugar. Cut the bread into slices that are ½ - one inch thick. Cut a pocket in each slice of bread. Fill each slice of bread with some of the cream cheese mixture. Beat together the eggs, whipping cream, the second teaspoon of vanilla, and the nutmeg. Dip the bread into the egg batter. Cook on a lightly greased griddle flipping once until both sides are brown.
